COMPARE US SOIL & DROUGHT REPORTS

Compare the evidence. Not an invented risk score.

Buying a home, reviewing two sites or organizing earlier reports? Put up to three locations on one private board — with the dates and limitations still attached.

Keep the point attached

Start with a confirmed approximate address match or coordinates you selected. Similar street names are not the same location. Component percentages describe a map unit, not measured shares of a yard.

Compare the coverage too

A reported Low band with missing depth is not evidence that the unreported soil is also Low. Review the horizons, the unique largest mapped component where identifiable and the unrated intervals together.

Understand an LE value →

Match the map weeks

County drought percentages are regional descriptions. Two homes in one county share the same county statistic for a given week. Different dates mix location and time; different counties have different area denominators.

What belongs in a meaningful comparison?

Keep evidence and interpretation separate
Compare thisDo not conclude this
Mapped components and their reported propertiesThat the largest component is confirmed beneath the building
Rated and unrated depth within the upper 100 cmThat missing depth has no shrink–swell potential
County D1-or-worse area and its map dateThat this percentage is the probability of damage
Site records, dated observations and open questionsThat a map replaces a structural or geotechnical investigation

Use it before a professional conversation

The board gives each location its own question list based on visible gaps: unavailable soil records, ambiguous components and incomplete depth. Keep original geotechnical reports, previous repair documents, fill history and drainage observations with the comparison. The questions organize an assessment; they do not select a repair.

Your files are not a public database

The workspace has no shareable address-result URLs and carries no ads. New checks use the same public-data requests as the single-location checker. Imported JSON is read locally, clearly identified as unverified, and rejected when its shape, values or dates are inconsistent. Save, load, export and delete are explicit actions.
